We’re quite fortunate at the IIS because we don’t have to wear a uniform. Flip-flops, sandals, shorts, singlets and vests are all discouraged, but the truth of the matter is that no-one at the IIS cares about what you’re wearing. You could walk around with a ‘FUCK YOUR GOD’ t-shirt and I’m sure no-one would bat an eyelid. Having said that, it’s best to be presentable, as this goes a long way for Thais and their cultures. Also, if you are giving a presentation in a t-shirt and shorts, the professor may not be too impressed.
If you would like to impress then dress shirt, tie and dress pants with some form of atleast casual footware is in order for males and for females, business dress knee high or lower with a dress blouse. CategoryTags for this item
